Weather Overview for May 24, 2025

Overall, mostly partly cloudy to cloudy skies are expected in many regions. Additionally, isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are likely to develop, especially during the afternoon and evening. Meanwhile, light to moderate winds will generally come from the east to southeast. Furthermore, coastal waters are expected to be slightly to moderately rough in some areas.

These weather conditions are typical as the country transitions toward the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) season, which usually begins in early June.

🌧️ Rainfall Forecast

Specifically, western parts of Northern and Central Luzon are forecast to receive moderate rainfall ranging between 30 to 70 mm. At the same time, Bicol Region, Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao are expected to experience light to moderate rain, about 10 to 40 mm. On the other hand, some eastern sections of Luzon may see minimal rainfall, indicating a relatively dry day.

🌡️ Temperature Outlook

Temperatures across most regions will be near average or slightly warmer, ranging roughly from 25°C to 34°C. Notably, the hottest areas are expected in Central Luzon and parts of Visayas. Meanwhile, evening temperatures will cool slightly, providing some relief from the daytime heat.

🌀 Tropical Cyclone Activity

As of May 24, no active tropical cyclones or tropical cyclone-like vortices have been detected within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). Moreover, PAGASA’s models indicate a low chance of tropical cyclone formation over the next few days.
