Quezon City, Philippines — The Bagong Henerasyon (BH) Partylist, led by Rep. Bernadette Herrera, continues to amplify its advocacy for accessible education, youth empowerment, and inclusive digital innovation as part of its renewed legislative priorities for 2025.
With a focus on bridging the gap between traditional systems and modern Filipino aspirations, BH is pushing for practical laws that directly benefit students, young professionals, women entrepreneurs, and low-income families.
“We believe the Filipino youth are not just the future—they are the now. That’s why Bagong Henerasyon stands for equal access to education, jobs, healthcare, and opportunities in the digital age,” said Rep. Herrera during a recent policy forum in Quezon City.
Legislative Focus Areas for 2025:
✅ Education for All:
BH is proposing amendments to expand scholarship programs, provide digital learning kits to public schools, and integrate mental health education at all levels.
✅ Youth Employment Support:
Through its “Skills Forward” bill, BH seeks to fund TESDA-accredited programs, startup incubators for young entrepreneurs, and job matching platforms for fresh graduates.
✅ Women in Tech and MSMEs:
Bagong Henerasyon continues to champion support for women-led micro and small businesses through financial access, digital training, and anti-discrimination laws in the workplace.
✅ Accessible Internet and Digital Equity:
The partylist is also actively pushing for the “Free Wi-Fi for All Barangays” Act and expanding the reach of the National Broadband Plan to rural and underserved areas.
Grassroots Connection and Sectoral Listening
In 2024 alone, BH conducted over 100 community consultations nationwide, engaging directly with youth leaders, educators, barangay officials, and solo parents. These consultations guide the partylist’s direction and commitment to legislation that reflects ground realities.
“We are not here just to speak in Congress. We are here to listen, to act, and to co-create solutions with the new generation of Filipinos,” Rep. Herrera emphasized.
What’s Next for BH?
As 2025 unfolds, Bagong Henerasyon aims to launch its #BH2030 Vision, a roadmap for building an inclusive, digitally-ready, and socially empowered generation—crafted in collaboration with public and private sectors.
